BASKETBALL IN NYC
This site is free information on everything baskteball - youth teams, opinions, stats, and NBA teams. Most of it is my opinions, but there's information for AAU basketball teams for any readers looking to get out and play. A lot of the information provided on teams is rudimentary, so it's encouraged to go out and seek coaches addresses and team schedules.

opinions section 1 - NBA Teams in the last 10 years
- '15-'16 Warriors (kind of obvious)
The '14-'15 Golden State Warriors were an unstoppable force. While they weren't able to win the championship title, they had an outstanding regular season win-loss record of 73-9. This brokw the '95-'96 Chicago Bulls' record of 72 wins in the regular season. Quite literally, the title was the only thing missing from the Warriors to lead a perfect season.
- '15-'16 Cavs
The '15-'16 Cleveland Cavaliers had what would be one of the most defining postseason playoff runs of the 21st Century. Coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the Warriors in the NBA Finals is what will make this Cavs team go down in history. Led by Lebron James and Kyrie Irving, the Cavs won three straight games to fight for the title.
- '12-'13 Clippers
The '12-'13 Los Angeles Clippers were robbed of an outstanding playoff run. With star players like Blake Griffin, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Jordan, they certainly should have at least made it to the Finals during the postseason, if not winning the title. But there were team issues causing chemistry problems, and ultimately that was their downfall.
- 14-15 Thunder
In theory, the '14-'15 Oklahoma City Thunder should have been unstoppable. Two powerhouses in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook should have brought them a title that season. However, Durant suffered from an injury and had surgery, so he was out for a great chunk of the season. Even still, they were within playoff contention, showing how great of a team they were.
- 11-12 Spurs
Simply put, the '11-'12 San Antonio Spurs were crazy. In their postseason run, they swept both the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Clippers in the first two playoff rounds. However, they were eliminated in the Western conference Finals (WCF) by a much weaker OKC Thunder team. For that reason, they're last on this list.
opinion section 2 - NBA Players
- Lebron James
Click here for some of Lebron's stats in the past 10 years. At his age, there's no other reason he's dominating in the league other than becasue he's the greatest active player in the NBA right now.
- Russell Westbrook
Click here for Westbrooks stats. He's put up really consistent numbers during his time in the NBA, and is always a force to be reckoned with. Although he's got a slightly below average FG%, he's one of the most athletic players in the game
- Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant came into the league and very quickly became a part of a playoff contending team. He, Westbrook, and Harden proved to be a powerhouse of a backbourt on the Oklahoma City Thunder. While Durant has only won 2 titles, his other accolades as an all-star and league MVP prove he's an outsanding player in the NBA.
- Stephen Curry
It was tough putting Curry under Durant, but ultimately it boiled down to opinion. He's obviously a great player, but I liked Durant's playstyle better. Curry's time with the Warriors brought him 3 NBA titles and a unanimous vote for MVP.
- James Harden
Of course, James Harden is a great player. When he shows up, he puts out great stats to lead his team to a W. However, he's a pretty inconsistent player who doesn't play much defense. He's not enough of a player you count on to put up consistently good numbers. For that reason, he's at the bottom of this list.
